Home MenuBayfront Boulevard
Bayfront Boulevard is envisioned with the character of a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented traditional “main street” mixed-use area similar to local precedents such as Solano Avenue in Albany, 4th Street in Berkeley, and College Avenue in Oakland. The street will have diagonal parking on both sides, and be lined with shop-fronts, restaurants and cafes, galleries, and arcades. The master plan allows up to 305 residential units; 35,000 sq. ft. of office space; 77,000 sq. ft. of retail space, and 40,000 sq. ft. of flex space). Public plazas along Bayfront Boulevard will provide views of the bay, outdoor seating for dining, and access to a pedestrian promenade that will run adjacent to and above the Bay Trail and railroad tracks.
This area will also include the planned Hercules Hub Capitol Corridor rail station adjacent to Refugio Creek, with a civic plaza and café building. The existing WestCAT bus service will serve the new train station, with ferry service envisioned as a future phase.
