IN-HOUSE - SUMMER CAMP 2026 PRESCHOOL TO 6TH GRADES
THEME FOR SUMMER CAMP: DYNO POWER
Welcome to the City of Hercules Dyno Power In-House Summer Camps.
We are celebrating 9 weeks of summer fun. You choose what camp works best for your family. Our Park and Recreation staff will provide your camper with themed activities, arts & crafts, STEM activities, free-play, on-site entertainment, group games and outdoor fun. Our summer camp philosophy is to provide a safe, fun, and exciting environment for each camper. For the all-day camps, you will need to send a healthy AM snack/cold lunch in a lunch daily, water bottle and we will provide the PM snack.
Little Dynos camp is our preschool summer program, which is a half day program for 3Y’s to kindergarten. Check out the other three full day camp options for TK – 6th grade.

HIGHLIGHTS
The summer calendars and daily schedules will be posted here by March 1st .All enrollment groups are subject to change based on the age of the child. Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday at the Community Center. Call (510) 799-8291 for more information.
We offer four camps: Little Dynos, Sparklers, Firecrackers and Dynamite. All the summer camps follow the same themes and weeks but different days, activities and entertainment per age group.

PRESCHOOL 1/2 DAY CAMP

Little Dynos summer camp is for campers who are 3 to 5 years old going into Tk or kindergarten. Camper will enjoy a fun hand-on experience playing cooperative games and exploring their inner Picasso. Each week has a theme, and a spirit day like PJ Day come join the fun. You will need to send a healthy snack in a lunch box/ brown bag daily and a water bottle. If you’re looking for a ½ day program for 3 years old to 5.5 years kindergarten age, we have it!
*REQUIREMENTS: Must be age 3Y by May 4, 2026.The young campers must be potty-trained-No pull-ups. |

Sparklers camp is all about the younger camper. This camp is for the TK – kindergartner age group ,this is an all-day camp. We will provide the opportunity for age-appropriate activities and develop skills and learning through play. The weekly theme and spirit days create a fun adventure each week. Activities are centered around arts & crafts, outdoor group games, lots of fun. Come join the fun and meet new friends.

Camp Firecracker is an exciting 4-day camp. Weeks are based on themes & daily schedules are built around those themes. Most of the outdoor fun is at Woodfield Park and swim day on Wednesday from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Camp will offer spirit days and on-site entertainment. Let’s have fun building positive relationships and making new friends.

Dynamite camp is a 5-day camp. The program is about getting outside for cooperative games and tournaments games at Hanna Park. Each week we will provide an enriching themed camp experience. Camp will offer spirit days, and on-site entertainment. We can’t forget swimming days every Tuesday/Thursday 12:30p-3:30p. Come meet new friends or hang out with old friends.
