The Hercules East Bay Silver Dolphins is a USA swimming team that practices and competes year round! The team and coaches are dedicated to fostering a love for swimming and providing a positive and challenging environment to all athletes in the East Bay. Our program is open to swimmers from 5-18 years of age; swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted prior to joining the swim team.

Training: EBSD teaches swimmers stroke technique, conditioning skills, goal setting, teamwork and self discipline in a safe and fun environment.

Life Skills: We believe that while swimming is fun and great exercise, it also teaches important life skills such as self-motivation, the importance of hard work and determination, setting and obtaining personal goals, and time management.

Team: Each EBSD swimming is an important part of the team. They learn to have fun together and provide encouragement and motivation for their teammates.

As part of USA Swimming Organization, the Hercules East Bay Silver Dolphins is a Year Round program offering Yearly or Seasonal memberships for all new swimmers from beginner to Olympic Level. EBSD is coached by ASCA certified coaches, and is backed and supported by Pacific Swimming and the City of Hercules. Swimmers have fun while improving their skills, sportsmanship, and self-esteem!

Congratulations to Dionne Dunn for being selected as Zone 2 Official of the Year!!! Dionne has been a Hercules resident since 1987 and became involved with the Hercules Aquatic Center in 1990, initially taking her children there for swim lessons and public swim. In 1996, when the Hercules Piranhas Swim Team was formed, her son joined the team, and Dionne began volunteering in various roles. In 2009, Dionne’s daughter joined the Hercules USA year-round swim team, the East Bay Silver Dolphins. Starting in 2011, Dionne volunteered as a stroke and turn official, eventually advancing to a starter and deck referee, volunteering at pools all over the East Bay for 13 years, always willing to help wherever needed.
