The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District has a rich and complex history shaped by decades of consolidation and cooperation among numerous local fire agencies. Since its formation, Contra Costa Fire has grown to become one of the largest and most capable fire and emergency services organizations in California. CCCFPD annexed the 98-year-old Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection District on July 1, 2025, and operates Station 76 in Hercules located at 1680 Refugio Valley Rd. Please note there are no administrative services at this location.
